Sensiblue is a Dutch water-technology company behind the S4, an inline water-disinfection device powered by the flow of water itself.
Mission Sustainability partnered with Sensiblue to explore and build its opportunity in India — from understanding the technology first-hand and studying the market to distributor engagement, digital localisation, communication, and real-world implementation.
Starting With the
Technology
Before building a market around Sensiblue, we wanted to understand the technology from the inside.
Our team met the founders in the Netherlands, visited the Sensiblue facility, and studied how the S4 works, how it is installed, and where the technology can create the most value.
That understanding became the foundation for how we would position, test, and introduce Sensiblue in India.

Understanding the Indian Water Market
Bringing a technology into a new country requires more than distribution.
We met with water-treatment companies, distributors, installers, and potential channel partners to understand how water systems are sold, installed, and maintained across India.
These conversations helped us identify relevant applications, understand channel
economics, and test what would be required to make Sensiblue commercially relevant in the Indian market.

Building Sensiblue for India
A new market also needed a local digital experience.
Mission Sustainability created an India-focused Sensiblue platform that translates the technology into the applications, questions and use cases relevant to Indian customers.
The platform brings together product information, applications and technical details while giving customers, organisations and channel partners a clear place to discover Sensiblue in India.

Taking It From Product to Proof
The real test was not a presentation. It was the field.
We installed Sensiblue at a school in Gujarat serving more than 200 children, where inconsistent electricity made conventional water-treatment systems difficult to rely on.
The S4 was integrated into the school's existing water system and water samples were tested before and after installation.
The project gave us an Indian use case demonstrating how electricity-free water disinfection could work within an existing community water system.

From Technology to Market
Our work with Sensiblue spans technology understanding, market research, partner conversations, digital infrastructure, communication and field implementation.
Together, these efforts are helping explore where electricity-free water disinfection can create meaningful value across India.
For Mission Sustainability, the project represents market enablement beyond strategy — taking a sustainability solution from understanding the opportunity to testing it in the field.
